Tips for Printing Inserts
Most of my printable inserts come with assembling instructions. If you purchase on that does not, please feel free to reach out to me and I can walk you through it and send a PDF instruction sheet.
These tips are helpful when printing and assembling your inserts:
- Always print at Actual Size or 100% and make sure "Scale to fit" is not checked.
- When printing double sided, make sure your edge binding is correct. Short edge binding is typically what my inserts require. However, the best rule of thumb is to look and see where your insert will be bound (punched or folded) and use that side. If you have questions please don't hesitate to reach out!
- If using an inkjet printer, let pages sit for several hours (overnight is ideal) to allow ink to completely dry. Otherwise you will get ink smudges and well... that's just not pretty
- I always fold my sheets in half first and trim the correct width. I then turn my sheets counter clockwise and trim bottom. I then turn them counterclockwise one more time and measure to the correct height and trim there. If using ringed inserts, then cut the fold line, punch and use!
